Game Description

WildFeed is a fast-paced, zoo-themed first-person game where players feed hungry animals before time runs out. Armed with food projectiles, you’ll sprint across a colorful low-poly zoo to satisfy the unique hunger patterns of a tiger, a penguin, and a deer, all while managing chaos and scoring big.

Expect tight time pressure, funny interactions with NPCs (like the ice cream vendor and zoo guide), and a balance of casual fun and resource urgency.

Postmortem Reflection

What Went Right:

  • Fun and reliable feeding mechanics with a dynamic hunger system

  • Consistent low-poly art style for a clean visual identity

  • Branching dialogue system via NPCs (adds depth and humor)

  • UI and polish were completed on time and were well-received

Challenges Faced:

  • Communication and role shifts due to uneven participation

  • Full level redesign mid-project reduced dev time

  •  Merge conflicts and prefab issues using Unity Collab

  •  Burnout from last-minute crunch

What We Learned:

  •  Plan scope and playtest early, avoid art before gameplay is validated

  •  Assign clear roles with deadlines

  •  Prepare for system integration and always back up assets
